Lora Stories Appalachian Child edition by Oakley Dean Baldwin Health Fitness Dieting eBooks
The voice was Lora's, never mind her son has transcribed the words. She alone sealed emotion inside each syllable. I absorbed the world through a young woman's eyes, felt her innocence, shared her pain and elation. The hope Lora brought into the world and then clung to, is here still. For an evening, as I read her words, that hope was mine.I recommend this book to anyone struggling with hard edges of life. It is simply written and quite short, but then again, it really doesn't take a lot of time to share a secret smile with a stranger, especially if you understand our journeys begin and end in the same place.

Lora Stories Appalachian Child edition by Oakley Dean Baldwin Health Fitness Dieting eBooks Reviews
Enjoyed this book. Easy to read, and interesting
Great book. Loved the simplicity that brought me back to my own childhood.
WOW!! Where do I. Start, this Review I related to her so many times, so I know she did suffer and life was so hard on her. But no matter how hard she always found something good in her life. I cried when she lost 2 of her children when they where small it broke her heart, but she keep it inside and still kept going because she had her other children to take care of. I wish she was still with us. I would of been so proud to have known her. Lora was A very Strong Beautiful and so full of love Women and she shared it with everyone. Lora I know you are in Heaven with God and you are smiling down on everyone.
as Child, and woman growing up and living in Appalachia. Interesting book but I wish it were longer! I would recommend this to anyone interested in Appalachia.
This was a very well written book with great little stories, some of which I could relate to coming from the south. Some of the stories brought tears to my eyes and some gave me a good giggle. I read it all in one day. Bravo to the writer. I've enjoyed all your books so far. I received this in perfect condition also and in a timely manner. Thank you to the seller as well.
best regards,
Sheila
I don't read nonfiction on a regular basis. I usually read thrillers, authors like Clive Cussler and James Rollins. I was gave this has a gift and when I read it I loved it. I was raised in the mountains of Eastern, Kentucky and I felt like I was listening to stories told by my Granny. The author was able to switch from one subject to the next seamlessly. It was well written, very interesting and extremely sweet.
Great book. Started reading at couldn't quite till I done. Would recommend.I've always lived in East Tennessee. Now in foothills of NC . Meant alloy to me.
